People should trust their impulses, because impulses provide life's action guidance.

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
Approximately 1200 people are randomized to follow immediate first responses, brief reflection, or situation-calibrated strategies, completing cooperation, risk, and immediate-reward tasks in familiar and unfamiliar settings; first measure and distinguish intuition, impulsivity, bodily needs, and aggressive impulses. Additionally, conduct 4 weeks of daily sampling, recording impulses, actions, and goal attainment and regret 24 hours later, with a 3-month follow-up, over 18 months. Use objective gains/losses and participant-declared values to assess guidance quality separately, testing interactions between strategy and domain/experience.

When Does Following an Initial Impulse Improve Decisions? A Preregistered Multidomain Trial
What it would overturn
Only if it is consistently superior to deliberate strategies across situations would it revise the conditional view that 'intuitive reliability depends on experience, feedback quality, and environmental predictability.'

Specificity of Seth's formulation
'Should trust' is a normative suggestion; it is testable only when interpreted as following impulses improving outcomes, but impulses, intuition, and physiological needs are not the same construct.
Note
contested applies only to its empirically testable weak version; impulses providing information and impulses always providing reliable action guidance are propositions of different strength.
