The astral body is an organized capsule composed of electromagnetic components, containing the individual's memories and experiences in encoded form; it is the part that survives the death of the physical body.

星光体是由电磁成分组成的组织囊,包含个体以编码形式存在的记忆与经验,是肉体死后存续的部分。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
First test necessary operational predictions: recruit approximately 60 adults who can repeatedly report out-of-body experiences, each with 6 sessions over a 12–18 month period; under electromagnetic shielding, synchronously record EEG, ECG, body movement, and peri-body magnetic fields, and test whether extra-corporeal signals can decode individual-specific information that was pre-randomly learned, in an independent test set, while ruling out brain magnetism, cardiac magnetism, and device leakage. Even if successful, this only supports an extracorporeal information signal; survival after death additionally requires verification, in natural death observations without altering clinical care, that repeatable, decodable, and interactive information persists after irreversible loss of brain function, and a well-justified confirmatory sample size cannot yet be specified.
Suggested paper title
Testing Extracranial Electromagnetic Encoding of Learned Information During Reported Out-of-Body Experiences
What it would overturn
If it is confirmed that an independent carrier preserves and employs individual memory after irreversible loss of brain function, this would revise the hypothesis that 'the preservation and retrieval of individual memory depends on living neural tissue.'

Specificity of Seth's formulation
'Electromagnetic components' and 'encoded memory' are more specific than a generic claim of continued consciousness, but they lack frequency bands, spatial boundaries, encoding rules, and duration, and thus do not yet provide quantitative predictions that can directly distinguish neurogenic electromagnetic activity.
Note
This review is current as of 2026-09-06; 'untested' indicates that this search found no direct test of the full claim, and does not prove that no one has historically studied it; 'evidence' clearly distinguishes direct from adjacent evidence; all experimental sample sizes are planned magnitudes and must be determined by pilot studies and power analysis.
