Adjudicating experiment
First, a method-development study with approximately 30 people will translate 'inner sense', 'empty space', and 'gaps in events' into reproducible instructions and fixed time windows over 3 months; then approximately 600 participants will be recruited and randomly assigned to compare inward-attention versus outward-attention training, completing hidden-target and future-random-target tasks under identical sensory isolation conditions, with 100 trials per category, plus ordinary interoception and known-cue tasks as positive controls; total duration is 12–18 months. If operational definitions cannot be provided, the original suggestion itself is non-adjudicable.

Specificity of Seth's formulation

Modern science has studied subjective experience and internal bodily signals; subjective reports can serve as data, but they must still be tested through reproducible procedures and external evidence.
