Research Program / Claims / conscious-mind-12

It is suggested to practice using the first inner senses, such as having the mind's eye circle an object to see its back, and using inner touch to perceive the surroundings.

建议练习使用第一内在感官,如让心灵之眼环绕物体看清其背面,并用内在触觉感知周围。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
Approximately 240 participants randomly assigned to practice of circling object imagery and inner touch, standard mental rotation training, or expectation-matched non-spatial training, 8 weeks, 20 minutes daily; pre- and post-training and at 3-month follow-up measure mental rotation, tactile imagery, and transfer; approximately 120 additional participants undergo fMRI with predefined parietal regions. Separately, a computer randomly generates patterns on the back of objects that cannot be inferred from the front; each person makes 100 four-choice judgments, with fully automated sealed answers and blind scoring, replicated across centers. Participants generally know the practice content, so full double-blinding cannot be claimed; target information blinding, assessor and analyst blinding can be achieved, and expectancy measured.
Suggested paper title
Spatial Imagery Training, Parietal Plasticity, and Hidden-Target Accuracy: A Pre-registered Randomized Trial
What it would overturn
If the practice improves recognition of randomly hidden patterns and information leakage is excluded, this would challenge the assumption that unknown visual information must be obtained through sensory input or inference from prior knowledge.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
The practice actions are relatively explicit; if the goal is merely enhanced imagery, it overlaps with existing training; if the goal is accurate perception of unseen backs, it has predictions that can be strictly distinguished from imagination and inference.
Note
'Contested' applies to the interpretation of obtaining hidden information; general imagery training has support, while increases or decreases in parietal activation could stem from ordinary learning; only pre-registered random hidden-target accuracy can test the extra-perceptual claim.
