Adjudicating experiment
The original sentence lacks an independent criterion to distinguish "camouflage" from "reality," so no experiment can directly adjudicate its ontological part. A testable weaker version is whether first-person data adds predictive value: about 300 participants undergo EEG, eye-tracking, and behavioral measurements under waking, relaxed, and attentional detachment conditions, and complete standardized experiential interviews; data collection is completed within 6 months, with an independent sample of about 150 for validation. Pre-registered comparisons evaluate prediction of perceptual performance and functional outcomes not used in model building, across instrument-only, experience-report-only, and combined models.
