Screening ~600–900 people, enroll 60 each with low, medium, and high hypnotizability; over 2–3 weeks, cross over comparing self-recorded permissive suggestions, direct command suggestions, and voluntary action control, while manipulating hypnosis or ordinary relaxation background. Use eyelid opening and arm levitation tasks, recording opening latency, standardized low-load resistance, EMG, EEG, and involuntariness; control for expectancy and test hypnotizability × wording interaction. For correlational analyses, use scale scores that remove overlapping motor items to avoid part-whole correlations.
