A multicenter prospective registry of approximately 100–200 individuals with spontaneously reported anomalous autobiographical memories and matched controls, over 3–5 years; before any candidate identity search, all statements are time-stamped and sealed, with an independent team searching archives and blindly matching multiple decoy identities, checking information exposure, familial transmission, and selective reporting. Without inducing memory, randomly and cross-over manipulate daily task load versus quiet rest, comparing accuracy and retrieval rates of pre-registered verifiable details. Even if a load effect appears, ordinary forgetting and retrieval competition must first be excluded; hypnotic regression is not used.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
Attributing non-remembering to daily focus implies a candidate prediction that reducing load would increase accurate retrieval; however, the original text does not explicitly promise that such manipulation will restore memory, so it cannot be assumed to be a strict inference.
