Research Program / Claims / expectation-5
The core of individuality lies in expectation because 'he does indeed get what he wants'; to change fate, desire alone is not enough—expectation is necessary.
个体性的核心在于期望,因为“他确实会得到他所想要的东西”;改变命运仅靠欲望不够,必须靠期望。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
About 800 people participate in a 12-week skill-learning study; success expectation is randomly manipulated, and training resources are provided independently at random; measures include desire, actual practice, ability, and blinded performance ratings. Preregistered models compare 'expectation independently guarantees success' versus 'limited effects mediated through effort and resources'; a small random-reward task not controllable by behavior is included. Project duration about 9 months; even if expectation raises average performance, that would not prove inevitable fulfillment or that expectation is the core of individuality.
Suggested paper title
Expectancy, Desire, and Opportunity in Goal Attainment: A Preregistered Factorial Trial
What it would overturn
If expectation could guarantee fulfillment and eliminate resource and ability constraints, it would overturn the assumption that goal attainment is jointly constrained by ability, opportunity, action, and randomness.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
The distinction between desire and expectation is measurable but not unique; 'indeed gets what he wants' is much stronger than modern motivation theories if understood as a no-exception guarantee.
Note
The adjudication targets the literal claim of inevitable fulfillment; the weaker judgment that desire alone is insufficient to ensure action and outcomes has research support, whereas 'core of individuality' has no operational test.
