Research Program / Claims / mediumship-3

Seth criticizes mediumistic works that involve only traditional religious concepts and use them to limit interpretations of reality, holding that although such material serves a purpose, it is not necessary in the context of mediumistic work.

赛斯批评那些只涉及传统宗教概念并以此局限解释现实的灵媒著作,认为这类材料虽有其作用,但在灵媒工作情境中并无必要。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
Approximately 300 participants, stratified by existing beliefs, are randomly assigned to three frameworks: traditional religious, secular cognitive, and minimal explanation. Training content, duration, and researcher contact are matched; the intervention lasts 8 weeks with a 3-month follow-up. Pre-registered objective target accuracy, experienced intensity, and interpretive diversity are measured; equivalence tests with explicit boundaries determine whether removing the religious framework impairs performance.
Suggested paper title
Religious Framing, Expectancy, and Perceptual Reports: A Pre-registered Randomized Equivalence Trial
What it would overturn
No mainstream scientific hypothesis needs to be overturned; a positive result would only refute the specific necessity hypothesis that 'traditional religious explanations are necessary for producing these experiences.'

Specificity of Seth's formulation
This is primarily a normative recommendation; it becomes testable only if 'not necessary' is translated into a pre-specified equivalence prediction after removing the framework.
Note
No significant between-group difference does not prove non-necessity; a sufficiently powered equivalence design is required, and one must distinguish whether the experience occurs from how it is reported.
