Two phases over 12–18 months: first recruit approximately 40 each of Seth practitioners, other meditators, and ordinary controls for two fMRI sessions, comparing imagined circling of objects, ordinary visual imagery, tactile imagery, and actual visual rotation, with matched difficulty and eye movements; independently localize somatosensory cortex, precuneus, and parietal regions, pre-register associations between activation and subjective bodily sensation ratings with multiple comparison correction. Then a behavioral sample of approximately 300 tests unknown back identification: all object fronts are identical, backs have patterns randomly placed by an isolation system, unknown to both participants and on-site experimenters, 200 trials per person. Report neural experience endpoints and above-chance identification endpoints separately.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
Circling to view the back is a concrete practice; if the back cannot be inferred from the front, it can generate clear predictions; the "feeling sound" of limb diffusion can guide experience encoding but has no clear brain region or time course predictions.

No paper implementing this specific fMRI comparison in Seth practitioners was found; bodily sensations may involve cross-modal imagery, attention, or suggestion, cannot diagnose synesthesia based on description alone, nor infer external information acquisition from brain activation.
