Conduct a stratified sample of approximately 2,000 ordinary individuals, covering different ages, cultures, and beliefs, using an isolated random-target communication task. Each participant completes 10 measurements over six months, totaling about 500 trials, with an overall period of 24–36 months. Pre-register a minimal ability threshold and a hierarchical mixed model, comparing prevalent weak ability, stable ability in a minority, and pure chance performance. After identifying candidate high performers, independent re-testing with new targets and new experimenters is required. This scale can estimate the prevalence of ability above a certain threshold, but cannot prove that every individual possesses any arbitrarily weak or never-manifested ability.
