About 100 practitioners and 100 controls each complete 6 free-association and automatic-writing sessions over 9 months; each session randomly draws a target from a closed image bank unknown to anyone on site; fix scoring rules for correct data in advance; test whether accuracy and awareness are dissociated using blind ratings, decoy targets, and source-memory tests. Simultaneously record pen pressure, speed, and pauses with a graphics tablet, and use pre-post visual contrast sensitivity and signal-detection measures to test claims of sensory acuity.

What it would overturn

Specificity of Seth's formulation
“Correct data without awareness” can be translated into a prediction of a dissociation between accuracy and source awareness, but unconscious memory can also produce such a dissociation, requiring additional exclusion of normal sources.
Note
Supplemental question 3 has directly relevant automatic-writing literature, but handwriting changes, visual-threshold improvements, and accuracy for unknown information are three independent endpoints and cannot substitute for one another.
