This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
Approximately 240 participants would complete four visits in a crossover design involving induction present/absent × concentration suggestion present/absent. State labels and audio content would be independently randomized between participants, with expectancy and hypnotic susceptibility measured beforehand. Sustained, selective, and divided attention, as well as EEG indicators of sleep, would be measured. The total duration would be 12–15 months. A general improvement in concentration must be demonstrated by improvement in a pre-registered cross-task factor, rather than solely by subjective concentration ratings or a change on a single Stroop task.
Suggested paper title
Does Hypnotic Induction Improve General Attention? A Pre-registered Factorial Study of Induction, Suggestion, and Expectancy
What it would overturn
If induction itself produced attentional gains across tasks, this would revise the explanation that the cognitive effects of hypnosis primarily depend on specific suggestions and task contexts.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
Low: “Not sleep” accords with current understanding. “Increased concentration” does not distinguish attentional allocation from attentional capacity and therefore cannot predict improvement on all attention tasks.
Note
This item is labeled contested because it reduces the nature of hypnosis to increased concentration. The label supported for Item 1 refers only to the narrower proposition of wakeful absorption and focused attention.
