Lesson 5

Death Is Not the End

What happens at death, whom you meet first afterwards, and what the "time of choosing" is: the most re-read chapters of the book.

This path is arranged by hand, not recommended by an algorithm. Concept entries are AI syntheses, the commentary is Mike's own teaching, original text appears only as excerpts, and the notes under "Think it over" are the editor's.

Read first

  • death死亡

Death is a natural and cooperative process in which consciousness detaches from the physical body, changes its direction of focus, and transitions to another level of reality.AI entry (cross-book synthesis)

  • time of choosing选择的时间

Refers to the moment of decision during the post-death transition period or at major life junctures, when a personality autonomously determines its future state of existence, reincarnation, or multidimensional transcendence.AI entry (cross-book synthesis)

  • Chapter 9The Experience of “Death”Mike's commentary

This chapter describes that physical death is not a fixed point, but rather a longer interval within the pulsations of consciousness during which attention is not focused on physical reality. The experience after death varies from person to person, with each individual's reality formed by their personal beliefs, emotions, and thoughts; after death there is still a form, but usually one cannot manipulate matter. The text introduces transitional arrangements such as hallucinations after death, guides who come to receive the deceased, hospitals, rest homes, and training centers, as well as self-examination, the inability to disguise oneself in telepathy, and the similarity between sleep, out-of-body experiences, and death. The after-death environment coexists with the physical world but does not occupy space.

  • Chapter 10Death Conditions in LifeMike's commentary

This chapter explains the relationship between sleep, dreams, and the reality after death: in dreams, people have already repeatedly experienced the nonphysical reality they will encounter after death, and the self in dreams possesses continuity and creativity; while awake, because one focuses only on physical reality, dreams are translated into scattered symbols. The environment after death is not unfamiliar; it coexists with everyday reality right now, time and events are not fixed, and ghosts are thought-form images projected by surviving personalities. Inner exploration requires satisfaction with physical life and psychological flexibility as its prerequisites.

  • Chapter 11The Mechanisms of Transition and Choices After DeathMike's commentary

Chapter Eleven discusses choices after death and the mechanisms of transition. After death there are mainly three choices: reincarnation, reorganizing past-life experience, and entering the system of probabilities. The middle plane is a time of rest, reunion, and choosing, and personal beliefs can speed up or delay the choice. Reincarnation is not linear progress; the soul may develop lopsidedly in certain areas or in a balanced way according to its needs. After death there are also directions such as teacher, creator, and healer; there is no special punishment for suicides, but the lessons not yet faced still need to be faced. It emphasizes that beliefs create reality, and concepts such as the opposition of good and evil, heaven and hell, are major obstacles.

Think it over

Decide for yourself whether each statement is right, then open the note.

  • According to Seth, after death you immediately know that you have died.

    False

Many do not know at first and go on acting from habit; a guide's first task is often simply to make that clear.Editor

  • The "time of choosing" is the stage at which you decide what comes next: another incarnation, another system, or staying.

    True

The choice is your own, not a verdict handed down.Editor
