In darkroom experiments, Rob obtained colored vision with eyes closed, Jane's hands sometimes disappeared, and the same phenomenon occurred with a metal badge.

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
A pre-registered crossover experiment with approximately 120 people, testing closed-eye colored experiences and visibility of hands and metal objects in a darkroom with eyes open; randomly varying faint illumination, fixation mode, object contrast, and neutral or suggestive instructions. Four 45-minute sessions per person, project about six months; record eye movements, pupil, EEG, and continuous subjective reports, while recording objects with independent infrared camera and calibrated optical sensors. Blindly judge whether subjective disappearance accompanies objective object or optical signal changes, and compare with visual adaptation and expectation models.
Suggested paper title
Closed-Eye Color Experiences and Object Fading Under Low Illumination: A Preregistered Psychophysical Study
What it would overturn
Merely reproducing subjective color or disappearance experiences does not overturn mainstream theory; if independent sensors record objective object disappearance in sync while excluding occlusion and instrument artifacts, this would challenge the explanation that "low-light disappearance experiences arise from perceptual processes rather than actual object disappearance."

Specificity of Seth's formulation
Records include reconstructable conditions such as eyes closed, darkroom, hands, and metal objects, but lack complete correspondence of illumination, fixation duration, eye state, independent observation, and instrument recording, so cannot distinguish perceptual disappearance from objective disappearance.
Note
The status pertains to this historical experiment and its anomalous interpretations; similar subjective phenomena can be studied with ordinary perceptual mechanisms, cannot confirm or deny every detail at that time, and flicker stimuli in later studies should not be treated as original experimental conditions.
