Rob attempted experiments based on information from the first inner sense, using the "mind's eye" to look around the reverse side of objects, and tried to envelop surrounding objects with inner touch. Jane and Rob once conducted experiments in darkness with a red light and black cloth, which yielded no results, but Jane spontaneously narrated a scene from a 1748 English shoemaker's shop.
