Lesson 7
All That Is, and the Beginning
Seth's "God" is not a person but All That Is, a whole that keeps creating and being created; the religious drama is one way that whole expresses itself in human history.

Chapter 14The Story of Beginnings and the Multidimensional GodMike's commentary
This chapter discusses the world and the multidimensional God: the physical universe arises from other dimensions, and history is only one of infinite possibilities; All That Is is the multidimensional creator, impersonal and omnipresent. Through the creation story in *Conversations with God*, it explains that the Taiji splits into yin and yang and that which is neither yin nor yang, creating relativity and time, from which the soul arises, its purpose being to experience itself. The soul's task is to remember its true identity and to create in the physical world. The present state of the world stems from dualistic opposition; individual and collective consciousness create experience, and there are no victims, only creators.
Chapter 21The Meaning of ReligionMike's commentary
This chapter begins with the origin and meaning of religion, explaining that religion is the outward projection of inner reality, and that external religious dramas reflect inner spiritual values through symbols such as good and evil, God and the devil. Using the three personalities of the Christ entity (John the Baptist, Jesus, and Paul) as an example, Seth explains the enactment and distortion of religious dramas, and predicts that a third Christ will appear before the year 2075, bringing about the overthrow of religious organizations and a spiritual transformation of humanity. The text also compares the differences in projection among the Hebrew God, primitive religions, and Islam.
Think it over
Decide for yourself whether each statement is right, then open the note.
All That Is was complete and content before creation.
False
In Seth's account of the beginning, All That Is first endured an agony of wanting to create and being unable to; creation was released from that.Editor
For Seth the Christian story is a "religious drama" played out by several personalities together.
True
Chapter 21 says the Christ personality was made up of three people; one of the most contested passages in the book, so read it before judging.Editor
Take it to Seth
“Seth, if God is not a person, is there any point in praying?”
